recently been given many opportunities to share life testimonies among a varied group of ppl & frens, and thru it all was reconvicted abt my purpose in life & the way that lies ahead.
perhaps as i'd shared with some, that it has been a long wait. a time of waiting on God, a time of many tears, sometimes of lonely leadership, but God has been extremely GOOD and GRACIOUS. if i'd waited 10years & i'd thought it was a long wait, then i am wrong. for in this time of waiting, my heart was blessed many times, and my life touched immeasurably.
and as 2 Peter 3:8-9 says: But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
and just came across this poem, the author unknown:
I counted dollars while God counted crosses I counted gains while He counted losses I counted my worth by things gained in store. He sized me up by the scars that I bore. I coveted honors and sought degrees. He wept as I counted the hours on my knees. I never knew until one day by the grave. How vain are the things that we spend life to save.
so why count the time and the years? for i have eternity already. Praise God!!
Before the clay had any form
Beknown to Him all along
Befriended prior to her 1st breath
Beheld in His arms, saved from death
Beatified to know her Lord
Beside quiet waters her soul's restored
Begun her walk on this moulding path
Becalmed each step by His rod & staff
Beaconed thru life by His Word
Besought Him, every occasion heard
Beclothed in His wondrous image
Bestirred to spread His love message
Bequeathed to her His grace & love
Belong the clay to her Father above
Behold Him the King of Kings!
Beyond time & space He reigns!
